Kimonos

Feeling fabulous against your skin these light as a feather kimonos can be worn in the house or out. Made from 100% recycled saris, these patterned silk kimonos are 100% unique in their look.

We select only the most exceptional silk saris to upcycle into our silkwear collections. Saris come in all manor of patterns and colours from the outrageously flamboyant to the elegantly understated and many times I've wished I could have met the woman who originally wore a particularly characterful sari. A sari can be up to 6m in length and the section that falls over the shoulder and is most on display is called the pallu.

Each sari is assessed and the sections that are worn or damaged are cut away. From the remaining silk we make just one jacket or kimono which means each piece is totally unique. We can occasionally make two pairs of trousers from a sari, but often it is just one, which in our book still makes them pretty exclusive
